Rising country star Parker McCollum‘s “Handle On You” has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, or RIAA.
“Another Gold record – what an awesome thing to be able to say. I can’t thank the fans enough for always showing up. Y’all keep this whole thing going and I couldn’t do it without you,” McCollum said.
With the song, McCollum earned his third Gold-certified single. He made his “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” debut Thursday, March 30th, to perform the single.
“Handle on You” was released on August 15, 2022 as the lead single to McCollum’s fourth studio album Never Enough. McCollum wrote the song with Monty Criswell and it was produced by Jon Randall.
The song peaked at No. 55 on all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart and at No. 6 on the Country Airplay chart.
“Handle on You” is about a breakup between the narrator and an unidentified former relationship.
McCollum was presented with his Gold record March 29, by UMG Nashville President Cindy Mabe and the RIAA’s Jackie Jones.
