Morgan Wallen‘s hit 2023 album One Thing At A Time has been named as the most popular album of the year in the U.S. by Luminate.
The music data tracking firm also named the album’s lead single, “Last Night,” as the most-streamed song by on-demand audio streams in 2023.
This is the second time that an album by the country singer has earned the honor of top album of the year. The first was Dangerous: The Double Album, which led the 2021 year-end list.
Meanwhile, half of the 2023 U.S. year-end top 10 most popular albums are marked in the name of Taylor Swift. Her albums were the most-sold in 2023.
“Flowers,” from Miley Cyrus‘ eighth studio album Endless Summer Vacation, was the song that music lovers listened to most on the radio.
According to the U.S. 2023 Luminate Year-End Music Report, total music consumption in the country – as measured in equivalent album units – improved by 12.6 percent.
Equivalent album units – for album titles and chart rankings – comprise traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).
