Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson Among Big Winners At 2022 CMA Awards

Luke Combs, Cody Johnson and Lainey Wilson took home two awards each at the 56th Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday.

Combs won the top honor of CMA Entertainer of the Year for a second consecutive year, in addition to best album of the year for Growin’ Up.

Wilson won the CMA New Artist of the Year award as well as the Female Vocalist Of The Year Award.

Chris Stapleton was named the Male Vocalist Of The Year.

Johnson’s “‘Til You Can’t” was selected as both the best Single Of The Year and the best Video Of The Year.

Old Dominion won Vocal Group Of The Year, while Brothers Osborne won Vocal Duo Of The Year.

“Buy Dirt,” co-written by Jacob Davis, Jordan Davis, Josh Jenkins and Matt Jenkins was named the Best Song Of The Year.

Jenee Fleenor was the Musician of the Year award winner.

With a touching tribute to the iconic Loretta Lynn, country superstars Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood opened the CMA Awards, performing a medley of Lynn’s classics. The 2022 CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Alan Jackson surprised the crowd by performing his hit “Don’t Rock the Jukebox.”

The CMA Awards ceremony, held in Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, was hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning.
