Kelly Clarkson performed a powerful cover of Adele‘s “Set Fire To The Rain” on the February 7 episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

As usual, Clarkson was accompanied by her band Y’all while she crooned to Adele’s song with red and blue lights flashing behind her with the intensity of the song. She received a standing ovation from her studio audience after her performance.

“Set Fire to the Rain” is a song from Adele’s second studio album, 21 (2011). The song was written by Adele and Fraser T. Smith, while the production was handled by the latter. It became Adele’s third consecutive No. 1 single from 21 on the Billboard Hot 100.
