Kelly Clarkson performed a powerful cover of Miley Cyrus‘ “Used To Be Young” during the “Kellyoke” segment of a recent episode of the singer’s “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
“You tell me time has done changed me / That’s fine, I’ve had a good run / I know I used to be crazy / That’s ’cause I used to be young,” Clarkson croons in the chorus of the track.
Clarkson performed “Used To Be Young” on the Wednesday, January 10, episode of her daytime chat show. Just the previous night, Clarkson had teamed up with Kelsey Grammer to perform the “Frasier” theme song.
“Used to Be Young” was released on August 25, 2023, by Columbia Records. It appears on the digital edition of Cyrus’s eighth studio album Endless Summer Vacation (2023). The song was written by Cyrus alongside Aldae and Michael Pollack, with the singer, Pollack, and Shawn Everett handling production.
“Used to Be Young” debuted at No. eight on the Billboard Hot 100 , becoming Cyrus’ 12th top-ten song and the second from Endless Summer Vacation, following “Flowers.”
