KFTX has an annual internship program that provides students interested in careers in the broadcast industry an introduction to broadcasting. Interns are exposed to the broadcasting industry by cutting commercials, working on commercial logs, programming music, participating in remote broadcasts and other station activities. KFTX executes its internship program in cooperation with Del Mar College. Our liaison there is Mac Aipperspach, head of the Radio/Television curriculum at the College and Texas Association of Broadcasters’ Educator of the Year for 2019. Fall Semester 2019.
