Blake Shelton Signs With BMG/BBR Music Group After Leaving Warner

Earlier this month, Blake Shelton left Warner Music Nashville, his record label home since the start of his career back in the early 2000s. Only weeks after the split, it was announced on Tuesday (September 24) that the country superstar has signed with BMG/BBR Music Group. “A huge thanks to the BMG family for being as excited as me about this new chapter we will write together,” Shelton said in a statement. “I felt their passion and love for music when I met with them, and I knew I was home.” Shelton is “laser-focused” while working on new music that will eventually be released by his new label home, which had employees of BMG dancing in the office after they heard it. “Blake is one of the biggest personalities and presences in media,” says Jon Loba, BMG’s president of frontline recordings for the Americas. “We are so excited he’s joining the BMG Global family and cannot wait to share his incredible new music with the world.” (Variety)
