Chris Stapleton, Dua Lipa Release ‘Think I’m In Love With You’ From Surprise ACM Awards Duet

Chris Stapleton and Dua Lipa have officially released “Think I’m In Love With You,” their surprise duet performance from the 2024 ACM Awards.

Stapleton and Lipa surprised everyone at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards last Thursday night, when they paired up to perform a collaborative version of “Think I’m in Love With You,” a song from Stapleton’s 2023 album Higher.

In an interview after the performance, Lipa told with Billboard that it was her idea to put the duet together.

“He’s a master of his craft, and I’ve just been a fan of his for so long, and I’ve had the opportunity to just sit down and brainstorm ideas on how we can reimagine the song for tonight, and bring something really special and unique,” she said. “It’s one of those moments in my life where I’m so happy to be a musician and be creating something and doing something that feels so exciting.”

Stapleton won the Male Artist of the Year and Album of the Year awards at the 59th annual ACM Awards.

“I think she threw herself into the mix,” Stapleton said of his time working together with Lipa on the collaboration. “We got on the phone and talked about it and worked on it a little bit. We really only kind of put together what we did like two days ago-it was kind of a whirlwind thing to do-but it was awesome.”
