National Memorial Day Concert To Feature Mickey Guyton, Alan Jackson & More

Country music artist Mickey Guyton and neotraditional country music singer-songwriter Alan Jackson will perform during the National Memorial Day Concert honoring American heroes on May 30.

Guyton, who is a Grammy-nominee, will open the show with a special performance of the national anthem.

Capital Concerts announced that a special presentation of the concert on PBS will be hosted by Tony Award-winner Joe Mantegna and Emmy Award-winning actor and humanitarian Gary Sinise with all-star performances and tributes from Washington, D.C.

The Memorial Day Concert, also dubbed as America’s national night of remembrance, will also feature “Empress of Soul” and seven-time Grammy Award-winner Gladys Knight; country music superstar and 22-time Grammy Award-winner Vince Gill; Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, actress and author Sara Bareilles; Grammy Award-winning international mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves; Motown legends and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Four Tops; and the National Symphony Orchestra.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the traditional live concert on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol will not be held. The special pre-taped 90-minute presentation of the concert will air from 8 to 9:30 p.m. ET.
